Full House
This weeks episode of Full House was about Stephanie and DJ's relationship as sisters. They got into an arguement over which one of them could have thier friends over in thier room. Stephanie wanted to have her friends over to play guns and DJ wanted to have her friends over so they could talk about boys. Their father tried to resolve the argument by sending all of their friends home and making the girls stay in their room until they could get along. When Danny came upstairs to see if they were getting along, they faked a hug to get out of their punishment. As soon as Danny left the room they were arguing again. Stephanie decides to leave DJ’s room and move in with Michelle. This does not work either because Michelle just wants to stay up all night and jump on the bed. The family solves this dispute in their made up Tanner court. During the court session Stephanie admits that she is always snooping in DJ’s things because she wants to be just like her. They apologize to each other and end up moving back into the same room together. They realized how important their relationship as sisters to each other is. DJ realizes that Stephanie may be annoying but that she really looks up to her big sister to lead her in the right direction. DJ is happy to be such a role model to her little sister.
Land of the Dead
To no surprise, I have never seen The Land of the Dead. Like every other movie that I have never even heard of. I don't usually like movies that are about zombies or dead people, although I do usually like seeing a good horror film. I think that Land of the Dead was a fairly good movie. It was kind of weird how the movie starts without telling you what is going on, they just suit up and are off to fight the zombies. Usually movies show some sort of backround before jumping in. I also don't understand how if a zombie is dead, how do you get rid of them by killing them? Can't they just become zombies again?
Research papers are not usually the easiest for me; I am much better at forming my opinion with some minor fact thrown in. I have the problem that researching takes time, and I don’t really have any. Looks like I’m going to spend this weekend in front of my computer.
I’m not yet sure of what I am going to write my paper on. Regardless of what topic I choose, there will still be a lot of research that comes along with it. I’m undecided between the race/gender/sexuality/social class, American horror films, (Since I don’t know any, it would be interesting to learn some) and George Romero’s filmography. I don’t know though, don’t be surprised if my paper isn’t written on any of these topics.

Film
I think that rating films like Roger Ebert does are truly awesome. I don’t even have time to watch movies, let alone make time to rate the movies. When I see a movie, as soon as it’s over I think about all the things I need to do or go to work or something like that. I never have time to think about what the moral of the movie is. If I don’t understand a movie, I pretty much consider it a bad movie. I know that this upsets most people but I have a busy lifestyle. I guess I’m not a good moviegoer.
Surprisingly, I did manage to see I, Robot. I thought that it was interesting because of the futuristic angle. I like films that show peoples opinion of the future with such great use of imagination. As Silverman says, “To enjoy this I, Robot, you’ll have to turn off your brain.” I guess I agree with that statement because I enjoyed the movie and I admit that I don’t really try to think to hard about what movies are trying to show me.
After reading this article, I can agree with Silverman that I, Robot does have a lot of loose ends and doesn’t always make sense, but I still think that it was a good movie and like we said in class Will Smith isn’t bad eye-candy.

Full House
This week’s episode of Full House was about everyone depending on Uncle Jesse to do something for them. Michelle needed her Jack in the box fixed, DJ needed him to coach her soccer game, Stephanie needed him to bake cookies for a bake sale, Danny needed him to work on his car, and Joey needed him to help work on the commercial they were making. Jesse was so overwhelmed that he didn't know what to do.
The family decided that they should work together as a family to finish all of the projects that they needed help on. This meant that Uncle Jesse could have a day off and completely to himself. Everyone left his room and went off to work on their projects together. Everyone forgot that Michelle wanted her jack in the box fixed.
Uncle Jesse was relaxing in his room when he noticed that Michelle was looking at her Jack in the box and it wasn’t working. He decided that even on his day off he would try to fix her toy for her. He managed to get it working and Michelle had the biggest smile on her face.
This episode was important because it showed that a family has to work together. One person cannot make a whole family function normally. Everyone needs to help each other with their problems, and not just depend on one person to do everything.
