This week’s episode of Full House was about the girls taking their Father and their Uncles for granted. In the beginning of the show, the girls were going to a theme park and all they say is things like wash my clothes, get the camera, buy us snacks, and pack our things. Then when they are leaving, Danny asks if they were forgetting something and they said, “oh yeah, Money!” They didn’t even say thank you. When they came back the girls told Danny to take them ice skating, Jesse to make them lunch, and Joey to play hide and seek with them.
The guys were realizing that they do everything that the girls tell them to, and they are supposed to be the adults. They decided to switch the roles and have the girls be the parents and the guys are the kids. DJ had to make the lunches and Stephanie had to get their drinks. Joey, Danny, and Jesse continuously changed their minds and complained about everything just as the girls had done to them.
Once the girls realized that the game they were playing was to teach them a lesson, they felt really bad. They learned that their family is not there to serve them; they are there to help them. A family’s life is not meant to revolve around the children’s wishes and commands. Adults should help their children whenever possible, but they should not be expected to drop everything just to do exactly what the kids want. The kids should especially know that they should be appreciative for everything that their parents do for them and show their appreciation by saying thank you.
