Full House
This week the episode of Full House that I managed to catch was about Jesse trying to make Alex and Nicky look smarter so that they can get into an advanced Kindergarten. He thinks that the only way that the twins will be successful in life is by getting them into the Kindergarten. He lies on the application saying that they are bilingual and that they can read novels. He also says that he is a Doctor to make him look smarter to show that the boys have to be smart. When the twins go to their interview with the head of the school, they just want to play and have no chance of proving what Jesse said was true. The school is confused at first, but then they think that the boys are so smart that they are quiet and don’t like showing their intelligence. When they get home, Rebecca explains to Jesse that lying about the boy’s intelligence level will eventually be revealed and that he should be setting a better example for them other than lying. Jesse agrees that he is wrong and should not force the boys to try harder to be smart. When they get the letter from the school in response to the interview, everyone thought that it would be a denial, but the boys did get into the school. Jesse decides that he would rather have his children go to a regular school instead of forcing them to go to a more advanced school. He learned that you can’t make children smarter by forcing them to learn, all children learn at their own rate; if they are not ready to know something they won’t understand. But when they are ready they will understand, that doesn’t make them any less intelligent.
